Oil and Filter

When your engine is running, the metal surfaces of the numerous moving parts rub against each other creating friction.This friction generates a large amount of heat. It's your engine's oil that cools this heat and lubricates the moving parts of your engine minimising wear.

Along with cooling and lubricating the metal parts of your engine, oil collects the dirt, metal particles and other contaminants created as a by-product of the combustion cycle. These contaminants are then removed by the oil filter. Over a period of time the oil and filter will inevitably become clogged up and will need to be replaced.

We do recommend that before filling your engine with fresh oil, your engines system is flushed with a suitable engine cleaner, removing any build up of dirt and sludge that can block the lubrication system. We can carry out a quick low-cost engine flush when replacing the filter and topping up with fresh oil, ensuring that your engine continues to operate effectively.
